Houston Texans rookie tight end Jordan Thomas hauled in a 27-yard reception in last Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots, but he was targeted just two times and didn’t play a huge role in the team’s offense. That could change moving forward as the Texans coaching staff has liked what they’ve seen from Thomas. Tight end coach Tim Kelly said on Thursday that “there aren’t too many guys” who possess the combination of size and speed that Thomas does. It’s too early to expect consistent results, but don’t be surprised to see Thomas more involved in Houston’s offensive plays against the Titans on Sunday.
