Week 13 of the 2018 NFL season is in the books, and that means it’s time to look at waiver wire pickups and free agent adds for Week 14. The percentages next to a player’s name explain what percentage of an FAAB budget should go toward that player on a waiver claim in a 12-team PPR format.

Quarterbacks
Lamar Jackson (BAL, 1-3%)
He’s likely owned by now, but Lamar Jackson’s rushing ability makes him a startable option in most fantasy football leagues. Jackson has had at least 11 carries and 70 yards in each of his three starts and that kind of rushing ability gives him an unmatched floor among quarterbacks.
Running Backs
Jaylen Samuels (PIT, 20+%)
With the news that James Conner is out this week, Jaylen Samuels becomes a must-own and borderline must-start option at running back this week (and he has tight end eligibility on Yahoo!). The Steelers are a high-octane offense and we have seen multiple backs — Le’Veon Bell, DeAngelo Williams, and Conner — post RB1 numbers over the last few seasons. Samuel’s only competition comes from Stevan Ridley, but expect Samuels to handle the bulk of the workload considering he was the clear No. 1 following Conner’s injury on Sunday night.
Jeff Wilson (SF, 20+%)
Matt Breida aggravated an ankle injury in warmups before last week’s game, leaving Jeff Wilson as the lone wolf in the San Fran backfield. Wilson totaled 23 touches (including eight receptions!) and has little competition for touches with Breida and Raheem Mostert out for the year. Alfred Morris will probably be active in coming weeks after being a healthy scratch recently, but Wilson should be the top dog given his usage last week and Morris’ lack of success this year.
Justin Jackson (LAC, 10-12%)
With Melvin Gordon sidelined, Justin Jackson split work with Austin Ekeler, although the former clearly outproduced the latter as a runner. Jackson carried the ball eight times, turning that into 63 yards and a score, while Ekeler turned 13 rushing attempts into only 21 yards. Jackson was a monster producer as a four-year starter at Northwestern and could take over the Gordon role in the Chargers offense considering his success last week.
Nyheim Hines (IND, 10-12%)
A week after seeing nine carries, Nyheim Hines saw nine targets in Week 13 and turned that into nine catches for 50 yards. It looks like more of an outlier than a trend given Marlon Mack’s success since his return from injury, but it’s a situation that is worth keeping an eye on.
Wide Receivers
Chris Godwin (TB, 4-6%)
Chris Godwin is splitting work with Adam Humphries for the No. 2 role in Tampa Bay’s offense, but the Penn State product turned six targets into 103 yards and a touchdown in Week 13 with DeSean Jackson sidelined with an injury. If Jackson misses any more time, Godwin is a startable option for wide receiver-needy teams.
Tight Ends
Jaylen Samuels (Yahoo! only, see above, 20+%)
Jaylen Samuels is tight end-eligible on Yahoo! and could provide RB2 numbers in Conner’s absence.
