By this time in the season, there is no telling what is left on your waiver wire. In some of my leagues, I have found some gems still sitting out there. However, in other leagues, the well is drying up leaving behind very few fantasy viable players.
So, this week I wanted to focus on players who can be found on most waiver wires. In some of my leagues, I found Geno Smith, Jimmy Garrapalo, or Derek Carr. If those guys are out there then go get them. But, if you have savvy league mates, or league mates that hoard quarterbacks, then you may be in the position of having to start one of the following guys.
Week 12 streaming quarterbacks
Taylor Heinicke (WAS)
News out of Washington suggests that Taylor Heinicke will remain the starter even after Carson Wentz is healthy. Can he sustain his winning ways? Who knows? He has some tough matchups approaching, but this week I’d go all in on Heinicke as a starter against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons currently rank in the bottom 6 against fantasy quarterbacks. The Falcons are giving up an average of 20.8 fantasy points per game to the quarterback position, and allowing 277.4 yards as well as 1.5 touchdowns to quarterbacks. If I’m in need of getting by this week, then I certainly don’t mind doing so with Heinicke.
Mike White (NYJ)
Zach Wilson may not have let his defense down, at least in his own words, but we can be sure that the Chicago defense is a letdown on most weeks. Over the last 3 weeks since the trade deadline, Chicago is giving up 21.1 fantasy points to the quarterback position.
Zach Wilson has not been good and is currently being benched for Mike White. With that being said, White will have good weapons. This should be a week where all they need to do is get the ball into the receiver’s hands, and they can take care of the rest.
