Breaking down all the Week 15 NFL matchups, starting with this week’s Thursday night game between the Chargers and Chiefs. Follow Samantha on Twitter @previtee.
It’s Week 15, meaning there are only three weeks left in the regular season. I don’t know about you, but this season has absolutely flown by for me.
As a special treat, we have two Saturday games (in addition to some NCAA bowl games), so remember to adjust your lineups and wagers accordingly; personally, if it were up to me, there would be football every day, but I’ll settle for Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday this week.
Below is just my pick for tonight’s game. I’ll be back for the rest soon. Please keep in mind that by the time you’re reading this, the line may have shifted depending on breaking news during the week, or money flowing through the market. Congrats to your fantasy teams that have made it to the semi finals and good luck in Week 15!
Thursday 8:20 PM EST
LA Chargers at Kansas City, -3.5
The 10-3 Chargers will face off against the 11-2 Chiefs in this electric AFC West showdown. The Chargers are a lock for the first wild card spot, but could even have a shot at the division if they were to win out. These two teams met in the season opener in a game in which the Chiefs bested the Chargers on the road 38-28. Patrick Mahomes threw for 256 yards and four touchdowns, and Philip Rivers threw for 424 yards and three touchdowns. Even with Austin Ekeler out for this game and Melvin Gordon questionable, expect this game to be high scoring (over/under at 53.5). The Chiefs didn’t cover last week in their 27-24 win against the Ravens, and the Chargers are 5-1 against the spread at home and 3-1 as underdogs. If the Chargers were at full strength, I would love them in this spot, but with injuries to their big offensive weapons, I will take the Chiefs at home to cover the 3.5 points.
Pick: Chiefs.
