I guess the holidays came early this year from some of us DraftKings players. While my Wilson-Baldwin stack was a massive dud and Marqise Lee got injured, every other player mentioned last week held their own. I hope you guys won just as big as I did last week. If you can believe it, Week 16 is already underway so let’s dive into this week’s picks.
[sc name=”Google Inline Ad”]
Stacks That I Like This Week
Cam Newton and Christian McCaffrey ($6,800 and $6,400)
If you had this stack last week, you were almost surely making money. This week, they go up against a struggling Bucs defense who have been absolutely harassed by injuries. Look for this stack to be chalky but pay off big time this week.
Case Keenum and Adam Thielen ($6,700 and $8,100)
While they haven’t been as red-hot as usual, they get a solid matchup versus Green Bay Saturday night. The Packers would love to hand one of their biggest rivals a loss right before playoff time, which means that the Vikings may have to stay active throughout. Perhaps the most consistent receiver in the league not named Antonio Brown, Thielen should come up huge this week.
Phillip Rivers and Keenan Allen ($6,400 and $7,700)
Rivers and Allen have been fantasy machines of late, and now get the Jets secondary, which isn’t an ideal matchup but isn’t exactly something to be intimidated by. Allen has been racking up touchdowns lately and should keep rolling in Week 16.
Drew Brees and Michael Thomas ($6,500 and $7,600)
Thomas, a prolific route runner with a natural athleticism, is easily Brees’s favorite target. He already torched Atlanta — even with Trufant healthy — for 117 yards and a touchdown.
QB’s That I Like
Listed above.
RB’s That I Like
Kapri Bibbs ($3,500)
This is solely depended on whether Samaje Perine suits up. Bibbs is $3500$on and has the potential to be a three-down back come Sunday. He flashed his potential last week with over 15 DK points.
Projection: 77yd
Theo Riddick ($4,700)
The Bengals defense has been decimated with injuries, especially at the linebacker position. Riddick torched the Bucs defense two weeks ago and will see similar usage this week.
Projection: 80yd 1td
WR’s That I Like
Sterling Shepard ($6,600)
Everything about this matchup is mouth-watering. He avoids Patrick Peterson and has looked great lately. Engram has a much tougher matchup than Shepard, which should put Shep in the double-digit target range.
Projection: 100yd 1td
Josh Gordon ($6,300)
The Bears have been surrendering points to the WR position in droves all year. Gordon has been excellent since his return and will keep it going against the Bears subpar pass defense.
Projection: 67yd 1td
TE’s That I like
Antonio Gates ($2,500)
With Henry out for the year, Gates could potentially vulture a TD or even two versus a Jets defense that has been in the middle of the pack versus tight ends.
Projection: 42yd 1td
Eric Ebron ($3,700)
I’m not too sure how he’s done it, but somehow Ebron has become fantasy relevant again. He has been very solid over the last two and gets the Bengals depleted defense this week. Look for him to make a splash and win you some cash.
Projection: 66yd 1td
DST’s That I like
Carolina ($3,100)
The Bucs have been turnover machines this year. Winston has had more turnovers than games played in his career thus far. The Panthers picked off Aaron Rodgers three times last week and will have a field day against Winston.
Projection: 13 pts
Lions ($2,900)
Let’s be real here: The Bengals are tanking. They have one legitimate offensive weapon, A.J. Green, who will surely see his fair share of Darius Slay this game.
Projection: 14 pts
