If your reading this then you, my friend, have climbed the proverbial mountain top. You and one more have reached the pinnacle of the fantasy football season. Now before I go any further, congrats are in order to both you and your competition.
In Week 16, the waivers are typically a barren wasteland of unwanted players, but with Antonio Brown having a serious injury and also Carson Wentz — Oh, and let’s not forget Rex Burkhead — we actually have some guys that could be interesting pickups for the championship.

Martavis Bryant (PIT) — With Brown down, the Steelers will look for Bryant to make the impact the troubled wide receiver has been clamoring for since the emergence of Juju Smith-Schuster. Both guys will be top 30 wide receivers this week as they play the Texans, who were just shredded by the Jaguars and a slew of wide receivers no one had heard of before. Bryant finished last week with 4 catches for 59 yards and a touchdown. Look for that to be outpaced this week.
Geronimo Allison (GB) — With Devante Adams likely not playing due to a violent blindsided hit by Thomas Davis, Allison is on the radar now. When Randall Cobb missed time in Week 3, he put up a 6-catch performance for 122 yards and after that game Aaron Rodgers was singing his praises. You will be too if he wins a championship for you.
Nick Foles (PHI) — This is a no brainier if you need a quarterback for the championship. I sure would play Foles. Jimmy Garoppolo is tempting too, but he plays the Jags this week and Foles plays Oakland. Foles is coming off of that a whale of a game in New York and the Eagles are soaring. Don’t expect 4 touchdowns again but he should offer solid QB production.
Keelan Cole (JAC) — After Marquise Lee left the game, this guy just took over with 7 catches for 186 yards. Those are absurd numbers from a guy most owners had never heard of. He’s worth an add for sure. I’m not saying to definitely start him this week, but maybe if Lee and Hurns don’t play you slide him into the flex against the 49ers team.
