“Without mathematics, there’s nothing you can do. Everything around you is mathematics. Everything around you is numbers.” – Shakuntala Devi.
The year is almost over, and I have one last lesson for this season. Ensure you understand the values of fantasy points. Would you ever accept a job and show up with no idea how much you make?
Quarterbacks score at a discount of 25 Passing Yards = +1 Pt (+0.04 Pts/ Yards). Did you know that if a quarterback throws for more than 300 yards, that’s a 3-point bonus? That’s equivalent to 75 yards, free! The same goes for WRs and RBs; after 100 yards, they earn an extra 3 points. That’s equivalent to 30 yards, and they are likely already hitting a high fantasy score. Never undervalue a pass-catching RB as well. Something simple as four receptions to a cheaper RB can equal out to a higher-cost RB who doesn’t get any passing opportunities. Here is the link to the DraftKings point scoring system.
Week 16 Review:
1) Daniel Jones QB, NYG $5,600 – Finished the day with an astonishing 24.76-point total.
2) Rhamondre Stevenson RB, NE $7,100 – Yikes, he lost my chance of going to the finals. Disappointing day with his fumble and 4.30 points.
3) Ja’marr Chase WR, CIN $8,300 – Chase hit under with 14.90 fantasy points.
4) T.J. Hockenson TE, MIN $4,900 – Hulkamania was live in the flesh and body slammed 38.90 fantasy points down.
5) J.K. Dobbins RB, BAL $5,800 – 5.90 fantasy points, total bust.
6) Eagles DST, PHI $2,200 – 10 points is perfect from a DST this cheap. We played it safe and got safe points.
Week 16 ‘Pick-Six’ Pics:
1) Justin Fields QB, CHI $7,900 – Weapon X is playing in a dome against the Lions. So get your popcorn ready and enjoy the show.
2) Brian Robinson Jr. RB, WAS $5,200 – In a really meh game, Robinson is going to get all the work with Gibson sitting out.
3) Justin Jefferson WR, MIN $9,500 – His career game was against the gold and green. Out of all the high-cost WR, Jefferson should finish above them all.
4) Tyler Conklin TE, NYJ $2,900 – If you want to pay down, Conklin has excellent value for the cost. He most likely won’t finish TE1 but can spend the day with 4-5 targets, one of them being a red zone target.

5) Courtland Sutton WR, DEN $5,100 – This is a gut pick. In a game where they should get shredded with an interim head coach, I expect them to go out with a win-at-all-cost mentality. However, Wilson still has the potential to throw for 250 yards and two touchdowns. Sutton has been his favorite target all year, and the cost is suitable for this play.
6) 49ers DST, SF $2,900 – The best defense under $3k against a backup QB for a team in complete disarray.
