Week 4 Streaming Quarterbacks: Oh, Jimmy. Gone too soon. Anyone out there getting excited for C.J. Beathard? Nah, I didn’t think so. You should probably be seriously considering dropping your 49ers, people. But, I digress. This is all about those streaming QB’s. Let’s get on to Week 4 and see who can help you on the waiver wire!

Baker Mayfield (CLE)
Okay. So last week I mentioned Tyrod Taylor. I’m man enough to admit when I’m wrong. (Just so wrong, you guys.) Luckily, the Football Gods have seen fit to give us a much better replacement. Enter Baker Mayfield, who looked absolutely stellar against a fairly stiff Jets secondary. The Browns are taking on the Raiders this weekend. The Raiders are ranked 21st against QB’s, giving up 22.6 points to QB’s this year. Go get Mayfield AND Antonio Callaway and fire up all your Browns.
Joe Flacco (BAL)
Good Joe Flacco might have some staying power this year, folks. Of course, his WR corps is just SO much better than last year. Michael Crabtree, John Brown and Willie Snead can collectively raise a guy’s floor pretty easily. Flacco is the 14th ranked quarterback so far this year, but this week he’s going up against a Steelers defense that’s ranked 31st against QB’s. They’re giving up a whopping 35.9 points to QB’s so far. Now, that does factor in facing the Chiefs and Buccaneers, so take that absurd number with a grain of salt. Still, start Flacco this week with confidence.
Ryan Tannehill (MIA)
Nailed it. Not all of our picks here in fantasyland are going to work out, but boy it’s nice when they do. Ryan Tannehill came through for me last week in a big way, to the tune of 32.2 points in 6 point per passing touchdown leagues. He’s squaring off against the Patriots this weekend. Historically, that hasn’t been a great matchup for the Dolphins. Especially IN New England. That being said, the Patriots defense is scaring absolutely nobody this year. They’re ranked 23rd against QB’s, giving up 25 points a game to the position. Mr. Tannehill, welcome to my rosters.
Josh Allen (BUF)
Okay, so let’s get something straight here. This isn’t an overreaction to what the Bills did to the Vikings last week. That was just crazy, people. This is more an acknowledgement of certain facts. Josh Allen has the talent to put up numbers, even without a decent supporting cast. The matchup is going to have to work for you to start him with confidence, though. The Bills are going to Lambeau this weekend to take on the Packers. The Packers are ranked 24th against QB’s, giving up 25.4 points to the position. They’re pretty banged up at this point, too. I’m not calling the Bills to actually beat the Packers, but I DO think Allen will be chasing points. I’d start him this week.
Case Keenum (DEN)
Oooohhhh, yeah. Time to fire up Case Keenum again! Now, I know you’re sitting there thinking, “But Nate, Case was just so bad last week!” You’re right! He wasn’t stellar against the Raiders either. Luckily, the Football Gods have seen fit to give you an absolutely wonderful cure for the Case Blues: The Kansas City Chiefs secondary. It’s looking like the Chiefs will be without Eric Berry again (probably), which makes this matchup for Case too good to pass up. The Chiefs are ranked 30th against QB’s, giving up 35.4 points to the position per game. Start all your Broncos, especially since they’ll be chasing points against this incredible Chiefs offense.
