Week 6 DraftKings Plays: Week 5 finally solidified the Browns in history as they have now played every possible outcome in a game: win, loss, win in overtime, loss in overtime, and tie. Moving onto Week 6, however, there are unfortunately less, “smash spots” than usual, but there are still some major ones worth noting. Just as a reminder, this series will never recommend the creme de la creme in terms of pricing as these players are meant to be stacked with superstars such as Julio Jones’ mouthwatering matchup.
Jared Goff ($6,000) and Robert Woods ($6,900)
Let’s face it: Denver looked atrocious last week. How can you let Isaiah Crowell rush for over 200 yards and still call yourself a defense? I get that they were on the road but that’s honestly absurd. Todd Gurley will have his way with Denver’s run-stuffing unit which will eventually, if not right out of the gate, lead to stuffed boxes. All of that is good for Jared Goff, as his receivers should be seeing single coverage all game long.
Andy Dalton ($6,300) and C.J. Uzomah ($3,000)
Although this might be a surprise for some, Pittsburgh has been stout against the run thus far, only allowed two rushing touchdowns throughout five games. C.J. Uzomah ran routes on 83 percent of Andy Dalton’s drop backs last week, which was the first week without Tyler Eifert. His matchup is what is really pushing me to put him on this list as Pittsburgh has been one of the worst tight end defenses in the league this year. Combine that with a high implied-total and hopefully, you get a solid week out of Uzomah.
Jameis Winston ($5,800)
I’m sure that if this is not the first fantasy article that you are reading then you have already seen Jameis Winston mentioned. Although I hate giving out names that will be popular, his matchup this week is just to good not to note. The Falcons have been horrendous versus quarterbacks this year and I expect Jameis to be throwing the ball all game due to the positive anticipated game script and the lack of an established running game.
Aaron Jones ($4,600)
I think Mike McCarthy will finally screw his head on straight in this contest versus the 49ers. Aaron Jones is by far the most talented running back on that roster and his only drawback, pass protection, has largely improved since last season. I expect the Packers to get ahead early in this one, which should lead to more ground opportunities for Jones.
Jarvis Landry ($6,600)
Seeing 10 targets in back-to-back weeks, Jarvis Landry is in a great spot in this contest. He has a positive game script, Rashard Higgins is out, and Antonio Callaway has struggled recently. I don’t know what’s not to like here.
Cameron Brate ($3,700)
Winston and Cameron Brate have had a great connection with one another before the emergence of O.J. Howard this season. Although the matchup isn’t fantastic, Brate has scored 12 fantasy points in each of the last two games with Howard sidelined.
Titans ($2,500)
With Joe Flacco struggling, Tennessee will look to take advantage of a somewhat lacking receiving core, besides John Brown, of the Ravens.
