Week 6 Starts
Kyler Murray (QB, ARI)
Start over: Dak Prescott, Jared Goff
“The Falcons are 20th in overall pass defense and 28th in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. They represent a true pass-funnel, as Atlanta checks in at 30th in pass-defense DVOA and 7th versus the run. Their corners are slow, and the defensive front gets no pressure. The Falcons are tied for last in sacks with the lowly Dolphins, who have played one fewer game. So, the atrocious Arizona offensive line at least gets a bit of a break here.” — Nick Mensio, Rotoworld.com
Kerryon Johnson (RB, DET)
Start over: James Conner, Melvin Gordon
“Volume can mean everything to fringe running backs, and right now, Kerryon Johnson has enough of it to receive a noise complaint. His 74 carries are the most by any running back who’s only played four games, and that number is trending up. After tallying a season-high 20 rush attempts in Week 3, he set another high mark with 26 in Week 4, when he eclipsed the century mark for the first time in 2019.” — Zach Buckley, Bleacher Report
Derrick Henry (RB, TEN)
Start over: Mark Ingram, Melvin Gordon
“Derrick Henry has over 100 touches through the first five weeks of this season and has at least one touchdown in four of those five games. He is averaging 16.2 FanDuel points per game that puts him above guys like Ezekiel Elliott and Leonard Fournette, yet he sports a significantly smaller price.” — Joshua Mutters, 5th Down Fantasy
“Henry hasn’t put up monster numbers in recent weeks, but he has scored at least one touchdown in all but one of his first five games. He should produce this week, though, as the Titans will go up against a Broncos defense that’s given up the seventh-most rushing yards and an average of over 28 fantasy points a game to running backs.” — Michael Fabiano, NFL.com
Michael Gallup (WR, DAL)
Start over: Alshon Jeffery, Jarvis Landry
“He now has at least 12 PPR points in all three games he’s appeared in, and he has at least seven targets in each outing. This week, he’s facing a Jets defense that should struggle with Gallup and Amari Cooper, and five receivers have already scored at least 14 PPR points against the Jets in four games.” — Jamey Eisenberg, CBS Sports
Auden Tate (WR, CIN)
Start over: Robby Anderson, Mohamed Sanu
“Tate mostly disappointed last week while dropping a touchdown early but added one late to salvage his fantasy day. He quietly has another plus matchup against a Ravens defense that’s allowing the second-most yards-per-play (6.7) in the NFL this year and will likely be shadowing Tyler Boyd with tough corner, Marlon Humphrey.” — Dalton Del Don, Yahoo! Sports
Week 6 Trust or Bust?
These players were deemed “starts” in some articles and “sits” or busts in others. We’re taking the easy way out and putting it to our Twitter followers.
D.J. Chark (WR, JAC)
Trust or Bust in Week 6: D.J. Chark?
— 5th Down Fantasy (@5thDownFantasy) October 13, 2019
Trust
“The second-year wideout is currently the 5th ranked receiver in total FanDuel points and he faces a Saints defense that is currently allowing 194 yards per game to opposing receivers. Chark is primed for another great performance and he is priced as the 16th receiver in the Sunday FanDuel main slate, providing great value.” — Joshua Mutters, 5th Down Fantasy
“With a 21.8% target share, expect this to be another Chark Week (thank you, thank you! I’ll show myself out) against a Saints squad that has given up the seventh-most fantasy points to WRs and the fifth-most yards to them this season.” — Matthew Berry, ESPN
Bust
“We’re here to say that we believe in his talent, but we don’t believe he will have similar success against the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. The reason for that is simple: Marshon Lattimore. With the exception of Stephon Gilmore in New England, there’s little argument that Lattimore has been the best cover corner in the NFL through the first month of action. In the past two weeks alone Lattimore has erased Amari Cooper and Mike Evans from the stat sheets (Cooper: 5 Rec/48 Yds, Evans: 0 Rec/0 Yds).
He’s playing at an elite level and taking away teams top receiving options seemingly at will, and that means a match-up with Chark this week. Start D.J. if you want to, but know that there’s a killer out there in gold who will have his eyes on him all game long. Expectations should be lowered.” — Derek McCauley, 5th Down Fantasy

Week 6 Sits
Carson Wentz (QB, PHI)
Sit for: Kirk Cousins, Gardner Minshew
“Only the Colts’ Jacoby Brissett has a lower yards per attempt (6.4) among qualified passers than the 6.6 Wentz is putting up. Wentz is completing just 60.3 percent of his passes, a mark that is second-lowest in the league, with only Cleveland’s Baker Mayfield (55.9 percent) keeping him from rock bottom.” — Brandon C. Williams, RotoExperts
Joe Mixon (RB, CIN)
Sit for: Mark Ingram, Austin Ekeler
“Excluding Nick Chubb’s three-TD annihilation of Baltimore in Week 4, the Ravens have consistently bottled up the run. Even including the Brown’s single-handed destruction, they’ve yielded 114.6 total yards per game and rank top-10 in run stuff percentage and adjusted line yards allowed, according to Football Outsiders.” — Brad Evans, Yahoo! Sports
LeSean McCoy (RB, KC)
Sit for: Kenyan Drake, Matt Breida
“Last week’s surprise drop in volume leaves McCoy on shaky ground as a boom-or-bust play despite such a plum spot against Houston. There’s scoring potential for anyone who touches the ball in this offense, so you’re probably still considering McCoy as a flex play in deep formats, but two touches in Week 5 is a tough pill to shallow, with nary a single carry.” — Kenyatta Storin, NumberFire.com
Alshon Jeffery (WR, PHI)
Sit for: Calvin Ridley, Terry McLaurin
“Jeffery … has seen more than seven targets in his three games played this season, and turned them all into double-digit PPR fantasy performances. However, Jeffery is now expected to draw Vikings All-Pro CB Xavier Rhodes in Week 6. The fourth-ranked Minnesota defense has been particularly stingy against opposing passing attacks, allowing only 204.2 passing yards per game.” — Frankie Taddeo, SI.com
