Last week’s Bold Pick Kyle Larson, raced his way into the Championship Four with his win in Vegas. That leaves three spots that could be filled by just about anyone remaining in the round of eight. Christopher Bell fought hard to gain position over Larson, but he just wasn’t able to overcome. Had the race gone another few laps, it might have had a very different outcome. There are only two races left for seven drivers to compete, and it’s bound to be a crazy and exciting weekend in Florida. Desperation shall rear its ugly head and make for some very interesting laps. Who will be the next driver to advance to the finals?
When you’re ready to set your fantasy lineup, here are my Brilliant, Bold, and Bonkers fantasy picks for the second NASCAR Cup Series race in the Round of 8: the 4Ever 400 Presented by Mobil 1 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Brilliant – These expert fantasy picks for NASCAR have the best shot at a win this weekend
William Byron
With the impressive season William Byron has had, it would be a shame to see him miss out on the final four. No worries; if he doesn’t win to get in, he’ll crush it in points. Expect a great finish for the 24 in Miami.
Wins in Homestead: 1
Top 5s: 1
Top 10s: 2
Martin Truex Jr.
Another track, another chance for Martin Truex Jr. to secure his position. The last time he won in Miami, it was for the 2017 Cup Series Championship. His numbers here are pretty tight, though, so count on the 19 to show up and get it done on Sunday.
Wins in Homestead: 1
Top 5s: 7
Top 10s: 12
Denny Hamlin
Denny Hamlin has three wins in Homestead-Miami, and this fourth win would put him into the finals. The number 11’s numbers here are great, so, barring any ridiculous incidents, he should finish well enough to advance.
Wins in Homestead: 3

Bold – Here’s my NASCAR fantasy advice on this week’s sleeper picks
Kyle Larson
Ok, Kyle Larson isn’t really jerky enough to win again when so many others need it—is he? Yes and no. If it’s between him and another Hendrick driver, maybe not. Him and someone not in the playoffs? You bet he will. Watch for the 5 to finish top-five at least this weekend.
Wins in Homestead: 1
Top 5s: 5
Top 10s: 5
Kevin Harvick
I’m putting on my donkey head, or sucker mask, whichever you prefer, and saying that Kevin Harvick is my longshot driver for Homestead. I dunno—doesn’t he want to win one more time before he retires? I think he does. And I think he will. If not here, then Phoenix. But I still think that he’s a shoo-in for a top-10 or better this Sunday.
Wins in Homestead: 1
Top 5s: 12
Top 10s: 19
Christopher Bell
Christopher Bell doesn’t have the numbers that everyone else here has, but he has a lot of drive and heart. That second-place finish hurt, and the way to heal that hurt is to win this week. Keep your eye on the 20 car in Miami.
Wins in Homestead: 0

Top 10s: 1
Bonkers – Chances are slim that these drivers will benefit your NASCAR fantasy points this week
Bubba Wallace
Bubba Wallace will keep his head down and drive like a pro on Sunday, but he’s not going to get past the playoff drivers. That’s a fact. I think.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
The time has passed for Stenhouse Jr. to get another win this season; Lord knows it isn’t gonna happen here.
Wins in Homestead: 0

Erik Jones
Though his second-half of the season was better than his first, I think that Erik Jones has a way to go before he gets back up front at a race.
