Last week’s Bold Pick Martin Truex Jr. took control of his season and came out on top at Dover Motor Speedway this weekend. It was a hard-fought battle, but he held off Ross Chastain in overtime to bring home his first trophy in 52 races. It was nice to see the number 19 in Victory Lane again, and that locked him into the playoffs this season after missing out last year.
It was a crazy race, with Ross Chastain nudging Brandon Poole out of the way—and right into Kyle Larson. While Larson was able to get back on track and finish 31st, 41 laps back, Poole was out for the day and ended up 33rd. Chastain, who finished second, was as sorry as he usually claims to be when he wrecks another driver intentionally, and he apologized yet again after the race.
Poole isn’t having it though, and neither are some of the other drivers who have voiced (or Tweeted) their distaste for the maneuvers of the driver of the 1 car. Gonna be a long season if you have no friends, buddy. Sure will be fun to watch on the outside, though.
This week we head out to Kansas for intermediate track racing on this one-and-a-half-mile tri-oval. Behold the Brilliant, Bold, and Bonkers NASCAR fantasy picks for the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway.

Brilliant – These expert fantasy picks for NASCAR have the best shot at a win this weekend
Kyle Larson
If no one gets an itchy foot and starts kicking other cars into the number 5 again this week, then I think Kyle Larson will have a solid top-five finish. But maybe, with good track position and a mistake-free race, he gets another win.
Kansas Wins: 1
Kansas Top 5s: 5
Kansas Top 10s: 8
Martin Truex Jr.
It’s a hot streak thing, man. That and the fact that Martin Truex Jr. has only finished outside the top 10 once in the last 12 races in Kansas. I expect a top-five for him again this week if not a second win.
Kansas Wins: 2
Kansas Top 5s: 10
Kansas Top 10s: 16
Chase Elliott
Chase Elliott only has one win here in Kansas, but he has finished in the top 10 at just about every stage he’s run here since 2017. He’s a safe bet for anyone who needs a solid pick that stays in the top for all stages and holds his own in the end.
Kansas Wins: 1
Kansas Top 5s: 6
Kansas Top 10s: 8
Bold – Here’s my NASCAR fantasy advice on this week’s sleeper picks
Ryan Blaney
I know that Ryan Blaney has 2 DNFs here, but right now, he’s running really well and I’m all about who’s hot. Now that Truex has broken his winless streak, it’s time for the number 12 to break his. And with a pretty decent record here in the past, this is as good a place as any.
Kansas Wins: 0
Kansas Top 5s: 3
Kansas Top 10s: 7
Bubba Wallace
The 23 is my sleeper NASCAR fantasy pick for Kansas. Bubba Wallace has been hot and cold this season, but I think that this is a great place for him to come out swinging. And he did win here last fall, after all. A win this week could put him into the Championship 16, and that sure would make MJ happy.
Kansas Wins: 1
Kansas Top 5s: 1
Kansas Top 10s: 2
Christopher Bell
Christopher Bell comes out on top every week. He’s number one in points and he’s enjoying every minute of it. No reason not to pick this ring-a-ding-dinger for Kansas.
Kansas Wins: 0
Kansas Top 5s: 2
Kansas Top 10s: 4
Bonkers – Chances are slim that these drivers will benefit your NASCAR fantasy points this week
Tyler Reddick
Tyler Reddick is holding on each week, but he seems to have fallen off of the hot-streak wagon. He may finish well, but I think there are plenty of drivers who will finish better. See the six above.
Kansas Wins: 0
Kansas Top 5s: 0
Kansas Top 10s: 2
Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
Another driver who seems to have fallen by the wayside in recent weeks, I’d take a pass on Ricky Stenhouse Jr. until NASCAR heads back to Darlington, at the very earliest.
Kansas Wins: 0
Kansas Top 5s: 0
Kansas Top 10s: 1
Daniel Suarez
Is it me, or does Daniel Suarez have some pretty lousy luck lately? I haven’t seen enough to make me keep him off of this list, and the numbers he has put up here in the past confirms my decision.
Kansas Wins: 0
Kansas Top 5s: 0
Kansas Top 10s: 2
