Looking for this week’s NASCAR fantasy picks? You can always find the latest here.
And then there were 12. Last weekend’s race at Bristol eliminated four drivers thanks to blown tire after blown tire and plenty of car damage. Eliminated were Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Austin Dillon, and (surprisingly) Tyler Reddick. Behold the Round of 12 NASCAR drivers:
Chase Elliott
Kyle Larson
William Byron
Alex Bowman
Denny Hamlin
Christopher Bell
Ryan Blaney
Joey Logano
Austin Cindric
Chase Briscoe
Daniel Suárez
Ross Chastain
It’s difficult to figure out who will advance, and who will not, but they have three races to do it. This is the first.
Here are the expertly researched and crafted Brilliant, Bold, and Bonkers NASCAR fantasy picks for the Auto Trader EchoPark Automotive 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Brilliant – These expert fantasy picks for NASCAR have the best shot at a win this weekend
Kyle Larson
He has a couple of DNFs here, but what the heck. Kyle Larson looked pretty good in Bristol and was one of the only cars that made it through without any major mishaps. The number 5 is a smart NASCAR fantasy driver when you set your lineup as the Cup Series rolls into Texas.
Wins at Texas: 1

Top ten finishes: 5
Joey Logano
Joey Logano has been hum-drum all season, biding his time until just before the playoffs. I said he was heating up at the right time, and brother, I’m not convinced this guy won’t get another Championship by the time this season ends. Overall, the 22 is a solid bet for Texas as long as car troubles stay minimal.

Top ten finishes: 14
Christopher Bell
Christopher Bell is running red hot, and he even impressed everyone at a track where he’s never been very good before. The fact that he’s shown some past promise in Texas gives me confidence in the No. 20 car on Sunday.

Bold – Here’s my NASCAR fantasy advice on this week’s sleeper picks
Brad Keselowski
Hold onto your hat, Batman — Brad Keselowski has an opportunity to grab his own win on Sunday in Texas. After bringing RFK back to victory lane with a Chris Beushcer win, I think Brad will take control of his own destiny and heat up for the remainder of this season. Texas is a good place to start.
Wins at Texas: 0
Top five finishes: 6
Top ten finishes: 11
William Byron
The last few runs at Texas have been pretty good for William Byron. He’s at a point in the Championship race where he can step it up a bit to solidify his spot in the next round. The last few weeks have been impressive; the number 24 has banked top-10 finishes since the playoffs began. I think he’ll keep it rolling for at least one more week in the Lonestar state before NASCAR heads to Talladega.
Wins at Texas: 0
Top five finishes: 1
Top ten finishes: 3
Kyle Busch
I need to quit sticking Kyle Busch in this article, no? It amazes me that he’s been so good at every single track on the circuit throughout his career, but has fallen prey to so much bad luck this season that you’d never know it. Rowdy still has a win in those bones and I know it’s gonna come out before the end of 2022. This is as good a place as any when you consider the next few tracks.
Wins at Texas: 4
Top five finishes: 14
Top ten finishes: 18
Bonkers – Stay away from these drivers in your NASCAR fantasy racing lineup this week
Cole Custer
Cole Custer has been so quiet this season that you almost forget he’s there. Hold out for a better track before you stick this guy in your NASCAR fantasy lineup.
Wins at Texas: 0

Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
One of his worst tracks, Texas is a poor place to count on Ricky Stenhouse Jr. for your NASCAR fantasy team. Hold off until next week at Talladega.

Martin Truex Jr.
I think this is pretty much a wrap on the season for Martin Truex Jr. Consider it a learning experience with these one lug, NextGen cars and come out of the gate swinging next year, 19 team.
