Brilliant – These NASCAR drivers have the best shot to win at Homestead-Miami
Denny Hamlin
Denny Hamlin has the most wins at Homestead to date, and he currently holds the pole position for the race on Sunday. With two great finishes at both Daytona tracks, he fell short of his winning goal two weeks in a row. The No. 11 leads the pack in points, and I expect he’ll lead the most laps in Miami—especially the most important one.

Kevin Harvick
Harvick has been laid back in the last two races in Daytona, though finishing respectably and in one piece. This is a track on which he’s comfortable and truly efficient, though, so he’s gonna pour it on a little thicker than I think we’ve seen this season. He’s not racing for a championship at Homestead like he’s done so many times before; he’s racing to get a playoff spot and show off the freaky fast power we know he has under the hood of that No. 4. Expect good things from Happy Harvick on Sunday.

Chase Elliott
After two heartbreaking losses, Chase Elliott is waiting to cross that finish line first in Miami. His car has been amazing both weeks, but the craziness of the Daytona 500 stuck him in second place while mishaps in the pit destroyed his chance for a win at the road course. Expect the No. 9 to force his way to the front and take the win he’s so desperately been working for.

Bold – These are my NASCAR sleeper picks for Homestead-Miami
Kyle Busch
I’m not entirely convinced that Rowdy will pull off a win this week, but his experience at this track is second only to his teammate in the 11 car. Kyle Busch has already shown sparks of goodness in the first two races of the season, and I think he’ll do extremely well on the tracks where practice and qualifying occur. I imagine he’ll win at least a stage, and if everything else goes according to plan, he might catch a win at Homestead.

Tyler Reddick
Tyler Reddick must feel highly encouraged by the winners of the first two races in this 2021 NASCAR season. First Michael McDowell wins the Daytona 500, then Christopher Bell takes control at the road course. Reddick has only been at this track once, but his showing was mighty impressive for a rookie. Look for the No. 8 to make some magic on the Homestead-Miami track on Sunday.

Joey Logano
Five years in a row, Joey Logano finished in the top-10 at Homestead-Miami. Four of those years were inside the top five. Last year–not so much. But Joey has taken some hard hits in this two-week season, which will ideally prompt him to do some fancy footwork to procure the win he’s so narrowly missed. Look for the 22 to make some moves and possibly come out on top—if he can stay out of trouble.

Bonkers – Stay away from these NASCAR drivers in your fantasy lineup for Homestead Miami this week
Matt DiBenedetto
Matty D made a lot of noise last season with a ticket to the playoffs—and an impressive run when he got there. He’s been quieter so far in these first two weeks, though the Daytona races were tough on practically everyone. I have no doubt that the No. 21 will get his groove back, but I think we’ll need to wait on that until the crew heads out of Florida.

Alex Bowman
It’s gonna be a ‘no’ for Alex Bowman this week. His numbers here are terrible. Although, Homestead-Miami has taken on a new life since it’s not the Championship race anymore. I sometimes wonder if the numbers for everyone are skewed based on their standing at the end of the season in years past. No matter—I still wouldn’t bet on the newest driver of the iconic 48 this week.

Ryan Newman
Ryan Newman has been here a lot, and it’s never been a fantastic outing. Still hoping that Newman will come out on top for one of these races in 2021, but I think he needs to get out of the sunshine state first. Take a pass on the driver of the No. 6 on Sunday.
