Atlanta was the second track in a row to fall outside of the umbrella of dryness and succumb to a deluge of rain. Thanks to a race that ended on a very wet caution, William Byron was declared the winner. Not even on my radar was the 24, and neither were the drivers who followed him. When rain shortens a race, everything goes out the window and unexpected events occur. Let’s hope that it stays clear and dry this weekend as the boys head up to New England.
There are only seven races left for the drivers to shore up their spots in the playoffs, and New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a great place for some of the veterans to get it done. But will the young guns keep on coming through with the big finishes?
As NASCAR sets its sights on The Magic Mile, think about these Brilliant, Bold, and Bonkers expert NASCAR fantasy picks for the Crayon 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Brilliant – These expert fantasy picks for NASCAR have the best shot at a win this weekend
Denny Hamlin
Denny Hamlin may have won his way in, but the more points you have, the longer you’ll survive the playoff rounds. It’s time for the number 11 to step up his game, so it’s a good thing he’s hot on these northern tracks.

Joey Logano
Joey Logano has hoisted his share of lobsters in the past, and I feel like he’ll be doing it again. I worry that he has two DNFs here, but his positive record far outweighs the bad. Think about the number 22 when you set your NASCAR fantasy lineup this week.

Martin Truex Jr.
Always the bridesmaid, never the bride, Martin Truex Jr. has yet to win at this track. Betcha that changes on Sunday. But if not, he’ll still finish fabulous. The number 19 has been a NASCAR fantasy savior this season thanks to his weekly above-average runs, and I expect nothing less in New Hampshire.

Bold – Here’s my NASCAR fantasy advice on this week’s sleeper picks
Brad Keselowski
Be prepared to see the drivers who sit near either side of the cutoff line come out swinging starting in New Hampshire. Brad Keselowski may be in, but not with a win. And I think he has a great chance to get it this week.

Kevin Harvick
I feel like I give this guy the kiss of death each time I throw him into the mix. But it’s a great track for the 4, and he’s going to finish well no matter what. It’s been top tens here for him since 2017, and it shall continue as he makes his last appearance in New Hampshire.

Bubba Wallace
Bubba Wallace sits just under the cutoff line for the playoffs, and he is hard-core gunning for that elusive win. This week’s NASCAR fantasy sleeper pick finished third in this race last year, and something tells me he’s going to run well and gain a few playoff points in the process.

Bonkers – Chances are slim that these drivers will benefit your NASCAR fantasy points this week
William Byron
It’s not happening again this week. Trust me. I have no basis for this numbers-wise and I will be shocked if he pulls it off. But he won’t, and my shock will remain safely tucked away for another time.

Aric Almirola
Don’t let his one win here fool ya. That is not an indication of how well he runs here—which is not well at all, thank you very much. And besides, something always happens to mess him up in the end. Keep this NASCAR fantasy driver in the garage on race day.

Alex Bowman
I worry about Alex Bowman, really. He’s out of the playoffs right now, and he needs a win to get in. But it’s not happening this week. Sorry to say.
