Christopher Bell made his way to the front of the pack to get a walk-off ticket into the round of eight. What a thriller the end of the Roval became; Briscoe in, Larson out, Bell with a win, Suárez pissed off. It was a nail biter but in the end, here are the drivers who will continue to the round of eight:
Chase Elliott
William Byron
Denny Hamlin
Christopher Bell
Ryan Blaney
Joey Logano
Chase Briscoe
Ross Chastain
It’s hard to believe that the 2022 NASCAR Season is coming to an end. Only three more races until the Championship Four hit Phoenix for their last, and most important, trip to victory lane. Las Vegas is a little bit more predictable, but with such high stakes, anything can happen. I expect that the final eight will do their best to gain stage points here, especially the four that currently sit on the bubble for the next round, but a few other drivers have something to prove before the end of the season.
Follow along as I express my opinions to bring you the Brilliant, Bold, and Bonkers NASCAR fantasy picks for the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Brilliant – These expert fantasy picks for NASCAR have the best shot at a win this weekend
Ryan Blaney
He may win, or he may not win, but in this NASCAR season, you can count on Ryan Blaney for some good fantasy points. He’s cruised his way to the round of eight with nary a trip to victory lane, but he’s been tight at just about every track.

Joey Logano
Vegas is a great track for Joey Logano. Between his history here and the hot streak he’s been riding since the end of the season, you just can’t go wrong with the 22 this weekend. Bonus: I expect he and Blaney will work together for the common goal of a great finish.

Brad Keselowski
Wow, the way this guy’s season started, I didn’t think he’d be in this article at all, let alone three times now. But he’s here because this is one of his better tracks, and I think it’s his best shot to get the win he so desperately wants to wrap up this crazy season.

Bold – Here’s my NASCAR fantasy advice on this week’s sleeper picks
Kyle Bush
The home track boy sure would like to get a win here on Sunday. Though he might not, you can bet he’ll have a good finish. Sure, he’s stunk it up in the five races prior to The Roval, but I think that Vegas will be a good show for number 18.

William Byron
William Byron is sixth in the standings right now, but he wants to keep advancing, no? So he must find a way to get upfront and stay ahead of the rest of the playoff drivers to do it. Stage points will be important to everyone, and the 24 will do all he can to get them.

Ross Chastain
Ross Chastain finds a way, no matter what the circumstances, to hang in there. What a season he’s had, and it’s only going to continue. I think he’s the secret wild card in the round of four, but let’s not get too far ahead. Let’s see how he does in Vegas first. Bet it’s gonna be good.

Bonkers – Stay away from these drivers in your NASCAR fantasy racing lineup this week
Chase Elliott
Take a pass this week on Chase Elliott. He needs a break and he’s sitting pretty enough to take one. He’s done okay here in the past, but he has three DNFs in his 11 runs so there might be something he finds tough to tame — much like Vegas itself.

Christopher Bell
I hate to stick him down here, knowing what he’s capable of after last week’s show, but I gotta say that I’m leaving Christopher Bell off of my NASCAR fantasy list this week. He just can’t seem to get it done in Vegas, and I think he’s comfortable enough to ease up until the boys head to Miami next weekend.

Daniel Suárez
Playoffs hope dashed, Daniel Suárez probably still has a win inside himself somewhere. But I don’t see it coming at this track. With an average finish of 22nd, it’s not the best place for the 99 to shine.
