Per Adam Schefter, the Miami Dolphins are working on a deal to finalize 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel as their next head coach.
Fantasy Impact: McDaniel has been on the 49ers staff since 2017 previously serving as run game coordinator, he was promoted to offensive coordinator prior to the 2021 season. The Dolphins will hire the offensive-minded 38 year-old to be the next face of their franchise. The 49ers have had a top-seven offense in two of the last three seasons with McDaniel as a top assistant. This greatly improves the outlook for Tua Tagovailoa as he will get an offensive guru ready to aid his development.
