There is a fear that Jets QB Aaron Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury in Monday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills, and he is scheduled to have an MRI on Tuesday. It is currently unknown if it is ruptured.
Fantasy Impact: If it is indeed a ruptured Achilles, Rodgers would be done for the season. And as a veteran QB who will turn 40 years old in December, he could very well decide to retire. As for 2023, Rodgers being out would negatively impact the fantasy outlooks of WRs Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman and the Jets’ offense as a whole. Zach Wilson replaced Rodgers on Monday and would get the first crack at the starting job, though the Jets could look to bring in competition at the position. QB Tim Boyle is currently on the practice squad.
