Adam Thielen (along with the other Vikings’ starters) did not play in the team’s second preseason game, a 17-7 loss to the 49ers.
Fantasy Impact: In last week’s joint practices with San Francisco, Thielen was an active participant, jawing with defensive backs and taking umbrage when a 49ers defender took a running back hard to the ground. The 32-year-old sits on the WR2/WR3 line, being drafted as the 30th WR. In 2021, he scored 10 TDs in 13 games but struggled with injuries. Lining up opposite WR Justin Jefferson should help him find some open space, and he has been one of Kirk Cousins’ favorite targets in the end zone in their time together. If he can stave off Father Time for another year, he could be a steal in the fifth/sixth round.
