Alexander Mattison released by the Vikings

The Vikings informed Alexander Mattison that they are releasing him.

Fantasy Impact: Mattison took over last season for Dalvin Cook and ran for 700 yards with 30 receptions. After opening the season as the workhorse, Ty Chandler eventually cut into his role. Chandler currently figures to lead the Vikings backfield, but they’ll likely bring in another running back this offseason through free agency or the NFL Draft.
