Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper (ankle) is still unable to run his full route tree and is not yet at 100 percent, which has kept him from participating in practice since the end of 2020.
Fantasy Impact: Cooper finished 2020 as the WR16 in half-PPR formats despite catching a majority of his passes from a carousel of mediocre quarterbacks. The return of Dak Prescott elevates Cooper’s fantasy outlook but the ankle injury is lingering and something to continue monitoring throughout Dallas’ training camp. Currently, as the WR14 with an ADP of 43, Cooper is beginning to get the fade treatment due to concerns surrounding his slow ankle rehab. However, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy stated that Cooper “looks great”, which means his sliding ADP creates significant value as a potential WR1 in the middle of the fourth round. It is noteworthy that Cooper has not been able to participate in practice since the end of 2020. Whether or not this impacts Cooper’s effectiveness when he returns remains to be seen.
