According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Carolina Panthers’ GM Scott Fitterer said there is “no timeline” for their young QBs and that QB Andy Dalton is “[their] guy right now.”
Fantasy Impact: Despite drafting QB Bryce Young as the No. 1 pick, the Panthers are in no rush to start him. Fitterer said that the team signed Dalton and is happy with him as their starter and that Young, or even QB Matt Corral, will start when they are ready. Dalton has played 12 seasons in the NFL with four teams, starting 162 games in his career. Dalton has finished nearly every season as a starter as a QB2, so as long as he is the starter, he provides superflex value with low-level job security.
