According to Titans reporter Jim Wyatt, tight end Anthony Firkser was the busiest pass catcher during Thursday’s OTAs. Wyatt says he “counted four catches from [Firkser] during a quick stretch, including back-to-back snags during a team period.”
Fantasy Impact: Firkser was targeted just over three times per game last year, but that was in the No. 2 role behind Jonnu Smith. The latter, who saw five targets per game, signed with New England this offseason, leaving a clear path for Firkser to rise to No. 1 in 2021. He re-signed with the Titans on a one-year deal and could be in for a big year in a busy, fast-paced offense. It’s worth noting that the team’s new offensive coordinator is Todd Downing, who was Tennessee’s tight ends coach from 2019-20; this certainly can’t hurt Firkser’s stock. He ranks 26th among tight ends in the latest expert consensus redraft rankings.
