Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen named quarterback Anthony Richardson as the team’s starter for their Week 1 home matchup with the Jaguars.
Fantasy Impact: The worry with Richardson was that it could take time for him to take over as the starting quarterback in Indianapolis, but that’s no longer a worry. The biggest struggle for a rookie quarterback is when they will be able to get on the field, and with Richardson being a Week 1 starter, he could start the whole season. With his dual threat abilities, his fantasy floor is raised to a point where he should garner serious consideration as a draft pick, even in one QB leagues. His current ADP is QB16. Veteran QB Gardner Minshew II will serve as his backup.
