The New England Patriots have selected QB Bailey Zappe with the 137th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact: With the backup QB being a concern for the Patriots with just Mac Jones and Brian Hoyer on the active roster, the Patriots selected QB Bailey Zappe from Bailey Zappe. The selection comes at a bit of a surprise with a higher-rated QB in Sam Howell still on the board as well as other high positional needs in WR in Calvin Austin as well. During his 2021 season, Zappe passed for 5,967 yards and 62 touchdowns, both first in college football.
