According to Jordan Schultz of theScore, QB Bailey Zappe will be starting for New England on Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
Fantasy Impact: Zappe, a rookie out of Western Kentucky, will get his first NFL start. QB Brian Hoyer was placed on IR and, despite practicing, Mac Jones will not start. Zappe threw for under 100 yards against Green Bay, but the Lions have the worst scoring defense in the NFL. Regardless, the focus will likely be on the Patriots’ run game and all of the passing weapons should receive a downgrade.
