Dallas Cowboys TE Blake Jarwin (knee) is progressing in rehab and expects himself to be ready for the beginning of training camp after suffering a torn ACL in Week 1 of the 2020 season.
Fantasy Impact: Jarwin had a great 2019 season, turning 41 targets into 31 receptions for 365 yards and three touchdowns across seven starts. After signing a lucrative $22 million contract extension, the fifth-year tight end suffered a season-ending ACL tear in the first half of Week 1, marking the first of several notable offensive players to succumb to season-ending injuries that collapsed the Cowboys’ playoff hopes. Jarwin spoke on his lack of participation at OTAs last week, stating, “There’s really no reason, I guess, to rush into it, just make sure that I’m feeling good – and I feel good. I’ll just keep pushing along, and I anticipate, Day 1 of training camp, being ready to roll.” QB Dak Prescott is projected to have a phenomenal season coming off of his own gruesome ankle fracture-dislocation, with Jarwin certain to pick up where he left off at the end of 2019. Jarwin is an ideal late-round tight-end to draft or even stream in upcoming redraft leagues, as his current ECR sits at TE20.
