According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, rookie QB C.J. Stroud was named the team’s starter for their second preseason game by head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Fantasy Impact: Stroud had a somewhat disappointing preseason debut, completing two of his four passes and throwing an early interception. However, that’s no reason to hit the panic button early on in his career, as the whole point of preseason is to help players get experience and see what they can do. Stroud will get another start over Davis Mills, and it remains to be seen if he will get more than just four pass attempts to help him get a rhythm on the field.
