C.J. Stroud will start Thursday’s preseason game against New England, per Texans’ head coach DeMeco Ryans.

Fantasy Impact: Stroud reportedly took all of the first team reps at Saturday’s practice, the second consecutive day he did not share with incumbent Davis Mills. While it is assumed that the second overall pick in the 2023 draft will start Week 1, Stroud’s performance in the first preseason game should go a long way in helping the Texans’ determine if the rookie is ready.
