Cam Akers traded to Minnesota Vikings

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, RB Cam Akers is being traded to the Minnesota Vikings along with a late-round 2026 pick swap.

Fantasy Impact: Akers was a healthy scratch in Week 2, the second time in the last two seasons the Los Angeles Rams benched him mid-season. This secures RB Kyren Williams as the RB1 in LA, but now Akers will join Alexander Mattison in what will likely be a committee going forward. As well, the Vikings will have to consider the possibility of giving Akers a second contract when his rookie deal expires.
