Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb has been seen moving around the offensive formation more during training camp, suggesting an expanded role within the offense, per Jon Machota of The Athletic.
Fantasy Impact: Lamb finished his rookie season as the WR24 in half-PPR formats, turning 111 targets into 74 receptions for 935 yards and five touchdowns. With a healthy Dak Prescott reportedly favoring Lamb as his favorite target early on in training camp, fantasy managers should take advantage of his current ADP average (37.7) at the beginning of the fourth round, as he is poised for a breakout WR1 campaign in his second season. When both Amari Cooper and Lamb were on the field in 2020, Lamb saw a higher targets per snap rate (14.9) than Cooper (13.9) while being held to only a 68.6 percent snap share, which was nearly 20 percent lower than Cooper’s (87.2%) snap share. Dallas didn’t do enough to address its defensive woes, particularly in the secondary, so expect Lamb to be catching a ton of passes for big chunk plays in 2021.
