Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that All-Pro pass rusher Chandler Jones requested a trade from the Arizona Cardinals this offseason. Jones is unhappy with his contract and future with the team. The Cardinals don’t want to trade him and expect him to report to camp.
Fantasy Impact: The veteran pass rusher underwent a surgery to repair a torn bicep that he suffered in mid-October of last season. Jones was supposed to be entering the final year of his contract in Arizona, but would prefer to be traded. He was dominate from 2017 thru 2019 prior to his injury when he earned All-Pro honors twice after recording 13+ sacks in each of the three seasons. His absence would be a huge blow for the Cardinals’ DST, but an absolute boost for the defensive unit gaining him. When healthy Jones is a must roster in all IDP leagues.
