Chris Godwin finds the end zone in Week 8

Chris Godwin caught five of his seven targets for 54 yards and a touchdown in a 24-18 loss to the Bills in Week 8’s Thursday game.

Fantasy Impact: Godwin was Baker Mayfield’s favorite target for much of the game. He found the end zone on a three-yard pass from Mayfield in the second quarter. He almost lucked into another touchdown as he had a chance to catch a Hail Mary in the end zone on the final play of the game. Godwin had just turned around in the end zone as the ball was coming and he couldn’t get his hands in position to secure the ball, however. Godwin now has 38 catches for 452 yards and a touchdown in seven games in 2023. He will be a low-end WR2 in Week 9 against the Texans.
