Chris Jones won’t play in Kansas City’s Week 1 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Impact: Jones and the Chiefs have been in a contract dispute all offseason, and now he’s going to sit out for at least the first game of the season because of it. They still seem far apart in negotiations, so it could be a while before we see the star defensive tackle take the field for Kansas City. He’s a big part of their defense, so we could see Detroit have some massive success in the running game with their above-average offensive line going up against a weaker Chiefs’ defensive line.
