Christian McCaffrey rushed 14 times for 38 yards and one touchdown in San Francisco’s Week 10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He additionally caught 4-of-6 targets for 39 yards.
Fantasy Impact: McCaffrey saw a healthy amount of work once again, and punched in a pivotal fourth quarter touchdown to help the 49ers take their first lead of the night. However, his counterpart Elijah Mitchell returned from his seven-game absence and out-carried him 18-14 for 51 more rushing yards. As a result, Mitchell was more efficient running the ball, as he recorded 66 of his 89 yards in the second half. It’s entirely possible that both tailbacks split the workload more frequently the rest of the season, but McCaffrey’s heavy involvement in the passing attack should allow him to consistently produce RB1 numbers. He’ll look to build off this performance versus the Cardinals for Week 11 in Mexico City.
