Christian McCaffrey was added to the injury report on Thursday with a shin injury, but he is “fine” and only suffered a cleat cut, according to HC Matt Rhule.
Fantasy Impact: Fantasy managers can breathe a sigh of relief after likely being terrified when they saw McCaffrey’s name pop up on the injury report. McCaffrey was still going as a Top 3 pick in fantasy drafts this offseason, and some experts have him as their No. 1 overall pick despite the veteran RB playing in just 10 games over the last two seasons combined. He has league-winning upside if he can stay healthy for most of the season, but that “if” is why he is no longer the consensus top pick among fantasy analysts. He appears to be good to go for Week 1 against the Browns, however.
