Chuba Hubbard rushed for 28 yards on 15 carries in the Panthers’ 15-13 win over the Texans on Sunday. He also caught both of his targets for 26 yards through the air.
Fantasy Impact: Against a Texans defense that has been fairly generous to running backs, fantasy managers wish they could have seen more efficiency, but the rushing attack wasn’t there for the Panthers today. There was a lot of speculation about how the backfield would shake out after Hubbard shined while filling in for Miles Sanders before the bye. It seems we have our answer. Hubbard far and away led the backfield, with 17 touches to Sanders’s two. Raheem Blackshear factored in, with 31 yards on five touches. With the money Carolina invested in Sanders, he will still play a role, but it looks like this is Hubbard’s backfield. If he continues to see this type of workload he’s firmly in RB3 territory.
