The Chiefs activated Clyde Edwards-Helaire off the PUP list on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact: It was a surprise when Edwards-Helaire was placed on the PUP list to begin with, but reports were that it was something incredibly minor and that he would likely be activated soon. Soon turned out to be immediately, and Edward-Helaire was back practicing with the team on Wednesday. It’s an important development for the young back, who has dealt with plenty of injuries over his first two seasons, including those to his ankle, knee, and shoulder. He’ll face competition for touches this season, and the expectation is that he will split work with Ronald Jones. But in an offense that needs playmakers, a healthy Edwards-Helaire should likely outperform his draft position.
