While veteran QB Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys have a mutual interest in pursuing a contract extension, one being agreed upon is “[not] a sure thing.”
Fantasy Impact: Dan Graziano of ESPN reported that he is not as convinced as others that an extension is guaranteed to get done between the two parties. While Dallas would like to be able to spread out the money via an extension to help with the cap, Prescott holds the leverage in the situation and can not be traded or tagged. If Dallas and Prescott do not come to terms, the Cowboys can restructure his deal, but it would leave a tough cap hit in 2025 with no guarantee Prescott remains on the team.
