Zach Berman of The Athletic writes a Pro Bowl bid is not out of the question for Dallas Goedert, who has already been one of the more productive tight ends in the NFL.
Fantasy Impact: Despite playing behind Zach Ertz since being drafted in 2018, Goedert has the 13th most receiving yards among tight ends and he’s 11th in receptions and touchdowns. Now, with the expectation that the third-year pro will become the No. 1 tight end in Philadelphia, fantasy managers should be excited about his prospects for the 2021 season. There are very few defined pass-catchers for the Eagles and it’s possible Goedert is option No. 1. At worst, he’ll be No. 2 behind rookie, Devonta Smith. He had 65 targets last year in 11 games, which is a 95 target pace and he is likely to be more involved this season. The former Jackrabbit could receive 110-120 targets this season, which gives him top-5 potential at the position this season. At his current ranking of TE7, fantasy managers shouldn’t be shying away from him. Targets are generally the most important barometer for success in regards to tight ends and Goedert figures to be a focal point of their passing offense.
