According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, free agent RB Dalvin Cook has agreed on terms to a one-year deal with the New York Jets, ending his free agency tour.
Fantasy Impact: Cook’s destination always seemed to be with the Jets, and now it’s official. This doesn’t bring confidence that second-year RB Breece Hall will be 100% for Week 1, but with insurance like Cook, he doesn’t have to be. How Hall and Cook will coexist when both are healthy remains to be seen, but as of right now, Cook is going as the half-PPR RB26 and Hall as the half-PPR RB13. Cook’s deal is worth $8.6 million, which is enough to expect he’ll have a genuine role in a team that’s hoping to contend, especially since he has averaged over 300 touches, 1,600 scrimmage yards and 11 total touchdowns over the last four seasons.
