NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting Lions RB D’Andre Swift (groin) is expected to play in Week 5.
Fantasy Impact: Swift is a regular on the injury report but has yet to miss a game in 2021 despite racking up his fair share of limited practices. If Swift plays, he should be busy, especially as a receiver out of the backfield. Not only are the Lions missing C Frank Ragnow, but Penei Sewell’s playing status is also in question. However, Swift is primarily utilized for his receiving ability. Losing their top offensive linemen hinders Jamaal Williams more so than Swift. In a game with a 49.5-point total, the Lions could be chasing points, which bodes well for Swift’s fantasy outlook in PPR. Swift has carried the ball 8+ times and has drawn 5+ targets in every game this season.
