Lions tailback D’Andre Swift had missed a large chunk of training camp due to this groin issue, but the Lions are now expecting him to make a return to practice on Tuesday, albeit in limited fashion.
Fantasy Impact: Going into his second season out of Georgia, Swift was widely expected to take on the lead role in the Detroit backfield in 2021. While that could very well still be the case, fantasy managers in redraft leagues should monitor how the Lions manage Swift’s reps in the preseason as it could give an idea on what Swift’s role will be to open the season. Once Swift is back to game speed and at 100% health, he immediately reverts back to his mid-RB2 status that has the talent upside to finish as an RB1.
