D’Andre Swift is still nursing a shoulder injury that will likely cause him to miss Week 5’s road contest against New England. The plan for Swift is to return following Detroit’s Week 6 BYE.
Fantasy Impact: Swift being out is a clear path to Jamaal Williams being a strong fantasy asset in Week 5. In Week 4, Williams scored 23.4 half-ppr points in Swift’s absence. New England could be more problematic for the Lions as they have allowed 15.5-FPPG (1/2 ppr) to opposing running backs, fourth-best in the NFL. Craig Reynolds and Justin Jackson will likely get sprinkled into the running back mix as well.
