Quarterback Daniel Jones remains the starter in New York and Tyrod Taylor will serve as his back up despite Taylor receiving some first team reps according to SNY’s Connor Hughes.
Fantasy Impact: Taylor’s first team reps were reportedly always part of the plan and the Giants reiterated they are not an indictment on Jones’ play. It was revealed that Jones underwent “non-football related” surgery in the offseason and has been injury prone throughout his career so New York could just be seeing what they have in Taylor should he be called upon. Jones missed six games of the season last year after suffering a season-ending cervical neck strain in Week 12.
