Darius Slayton agreed to take a paycut on Wednesday. The revised contract reduces his salary from $2.54M to the league minimum of $965K.
Fantasy Impact: Slayton was excused from Tuesday’s practice, leading multiple beat reporters to believe that he may be released by the team shortly after. That ended up not being the case, the former fifth-round pick returned to practice Wednesday and will remain in New York. Slayton has struggled with drops throughout his career and failed to put together a promising training camp, resulting in him landing as the WR7 on the Giants’ Week 1 depth chart. Slayton should be off of all fantasy managers’ radars for the 2022 season.
