David Montgomery likely to be Lions lead goal-line back

David Montgomery is expected to be the Lions lead goal-line back in 2023, taking over the Jamaal Williams role.

Fantasy Impact: Williams scored an incredible NFL leading 17 rushing touchdowns in 2022, and Montgomery has the opportunity to step into his shoes. It’s unlikely he gets 17 rushing touchdowns, but 10-12 are in the range of outcomes for Montgomery. He’ll be a valueable asset if anything were to happen to Jahmyr Gibbs, and an RB3/flex type of play when both are healthy.
