Deebo Samuel hauled in 5-of-6 targets for 44 yards in San Francisco’s Week 2 win against Seattle. He added four carries for 53 yards.
Fantasy Impact: Samuel looked like a true “wide back” this afternoon, as he produced 44 receiving yards and 53 rushing yards. He did only see four carries, though the 49ers held a strong lead the entire game, thus resulting in heavier workloads for the primary tailbacks in Jeff Wilson Jr. and Tyrion Davis-Price. They unfortunately lost Trey Lance to a season-ending ankle injury, though Samuel’s stock should not be negatively impacted, due to his strong rapport with Jimmy Garoppolo. He’ll remain on the WR1 map against Denver in Week 3.
