Deneric Prince showed off his ability to reach second gear when catching passes during the Chiefs second day of minicamp. He’s making an impression on the team’s current receiving back, Jerick McKinnon, and coaches alike.
Fantasy Impact: The undrafted free agent out of Tulsa was used sparingly as a receiver in college. His season-high in receptions during college was nine. Though he has a long road ahead to achieve fantasy relevance, there is a world where Prince is used as a receiver out of the backfield. McKinnon is aging and Clyde Edwards-Helaire hasn’t lived up to his first-round draft capital. It’s unlikely Prince beats out both of them, however, but he’s worth a stash in dynasty leagues.
