The Cleveland Browns announced Monday that cornerback Denzel Ward has been activated from the active/physically unable to perform list.
Fantasy Impact: Ward has been nursing a foot injury from veteran minicamp and missed practice for the first 12 days of training camp. Ward is coming off his second Pro Bowl season where he nabbed three interceptions, including one for a touchdown, and broke up 10 passes. Ward signed a five-year extension for this off-season worth $100.5 million including $71.25 million guaranteed. Ward will lead the Browns cornerbacks, namely Greg Newsome II and Greedy Williams, as well as rookie third-round pick Martin Emerson, Jr who has been impressing so far in training camp.
